The Angel WITHOUT WINGS

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away, it was said that angels were among the most fascinating entities, beings that belonged to creation itself. They were the genesis that inspired an artist's creativity.

An ancestral reverence for these entities had prevented the artist from confronting them for a long time. It wasn't until he felt the compelling need to physically represent one of them, beyond duality; they were themselves the opposing poles.

She reflected a breaking moment, where both chaos and extreme calm coexisted, and she used her wings as protection from the external. When it came to representing the wings, the very symbol of angels, that reverential feeling once again arose, preventing him from materializing them.

He ultimately decided to sculpt an earthly woman and not a celestial angel. His expressive need materialized in a constant dialogue with the material, following and assimilating every natural sign it possessed, which would influence the final outcome. During moments of definition, while sculpting the back of the being, two symmetrical marks appeared, revealing that the woman was not of this world but seemed to have possessed wings.

The sincere intention to sculpt a divine being created the synchronicity for that block of marble to coincide in space and time, containing and allowing the Sculptor to reveal the Angel Without Wings
