A Historic Artistic Journey

The official International PresentatioN Unveiling The Third Christ Carrying The Cross Giustiniani in its current state.

In a historic gathering that unfolded on the 15th and 16th of July 2023, the realm of art witnessed a pivotal moment as acclaimed artist Pablo Damian Cristi presented his ongoing masterpiece, "Il Terzo Cristo Portacroce Giustiniani" (The Third Christ Carrying The Cross Giustiniani), in its current form. This unveiling marks a remarkable milestone, encapsulating the convergence of artistic brilliance and historical reverence.

The creation of "The Third Christ Carrying The Cross Giustiniani" stems from a profound aspiration to form a sublime trinity, harmonising with the two original representations sculpted by the revered artist Michelangelo half a millennium ago. This visionary quest aims to pay homage to the legacy of the past while forging an indissoluble bond with the present.

Carrara, Italy

The beginning of the Official International presentation of The Third Christ Carrying The Cross Giustiniani unfolded against the backdrop of Cava La Madonna, where Pablo Damian Cristi's relentless pursuit of the perfect marble block spanned a year and a half. The culmination of this arduous search manifested in the unveiling of a sculpture poised to etch its name in the annals of art history. The unprecedented access to the Sponda quarry, fondly referred to as "La Madonna," in Carrara, presented a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in a moment that shall forever be etched in memory.

The International Presentation of the Cristi Project, "The Third Christ Carrying The Cross Giustiniani," drew the presence of illustrious guests, among them the General Consul of Argentina in Milan, Luis Niscovolos, Rodolfo de Felipe from LIDE Argentina, and Julian Usher, the CEO of The Red8 Gallery in London.
